If I Had A Time Machine

If I had a time machine,
I'd go back to periods
and eras I only read of
in history classes.

I'd experience World War,
or talk with Freud. I'd
write to Jose and
fight with Andres.

I'd draw on Papyrus the symbols
of today. Then join in building
the great wall. I can even attend
on one of Jesus's lectures.

I'll help discover fire and
demand being credited. I'd teach
cavemen to cook, my favorite dishes.
Or walk with the giants of our past.

But really,
if I had a time machine,
I'd go back to times I
spent with you.
